Organizational History
Diamond Quantum has been established for 50 years, going through plant expansions, the establishment of the agricultural department, ISO certification, and other developments and reforms, which have led to the current scale of Diamond Quantum. 1973
Established DIAMOND CHEMICAL Co., Ltd. (later renamed DIAMOND NANO-BIOCHEM Co., Ltd.). Using high-quality, high-purity raw materials, we produced premium white reinforcing fillers, namely DIAMOND DIA-CAL, providing the best reinforcement fillers for the footwear, tire, wire, cable, and coating industries.
1974
Completed construction of the plant, with an annual production capacity of 7,000 tons of DIA-CAL.
1978
Established the related enterprise, DIAMOND Silicon Industry Co., Ltd. Joint ventures were successively formed with PPG (USA) and Tokuyama Corporation (Japan). It is now known as Oriental Silicas Corporation (OSC), the largest silica manufacturer in Asia, with applications in tires, shoe soles, silicone rubber, toothpaste, health foods, pesticides, inks, battery separators, adhesives, rubber, plastic sports equipment, pharmaceuticals, and more.
1981
First phase of factory expansion, increasing annual DIA-CAL production capacity to 15,000 tons.
1985
Updated all factory equipment, reaching an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons.
1999
Established the related enterprise, Dongguan Limao Chemical Co., Ltd., in mainland China. It produces high-quality fillers such as heavy calcium carbonate, light calcium carbonate, DIA-CAL, CC, and CCR.
2001
Established the Biotechnology Business Division, officially entering the biochemical technology field. Also began constructing a food processing factory, focusing on technological development.
2002
Completed the biotechnology factory. Entered the Innovation Incubation Center at National Chung Hsing University and started industry-university cooperation with more than ten domestic universities, including China Medical University, Providence University, and National Formosa University. Combined high-tech nano technology to begin developing natural organic health foods through cell wall-breaking technology.
2004
Obtained ISO 9001 certification. Won the 3rd National Industrial and Technological Talent & National Quality Assurance Gold Statue Award. Appointed former Director of China Medical Research Institute, Chen Jie-Fu, as Chief Research and Development Coordinator to continue professional research and development.
2006
Published papers related to nano foods such as black bean antioxidants, traditional Chinese medicines Danshen and Banlangen, and nano calcium.
2009
Obtained a patent for a dry nano-processing method for natural organic substances without the need for dispersants or excipients and the products made from this process.
2010
Established the Agricultural Science and Technology Department Collaborated with domestic universities for industry-university cooperation on the development of plant protection agents. Developed micro-nano micronutrient formulations for application on plant leaves and fruits, enabling direct absorption.
2011
Won the 3rd Agricultural Science & Technology Enterprise Award in the Technology Application category, presented by the Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan.
2013
Obtained fertilizer certification for various products and began exporting to Southeast Asian countries, such as Thailand.
2017
Established the International Trade Division (New Business Division), exporting quality Taiwanese agricultural products and importing high-quality overseas products.
2019
Collaborated with the Agricultural Chemicals Testing Institute of the Agricultural Department and National Chung Hsing University on agricultural microbial technology transfers, jointly developing beneficial microbial products.
2020
Introduced a smart manufacturing assistance plan, advancing towards automation and intelligent production. Gradually upgraded plant equipment and implemented energy management to achieve energy saving and carbon reduction.
2022
Received the 19th Taiwan Golden Root Award from the Taiwan Industrial Technology Association, the 111th Enterprise Award from the Chinese Plant Protection Society, the 2022 Industrial Rock Award from Taichung City, and ISO 14001 certification.
2023
Awarded the 5th Taichung City Low Carbon Sustainable City Outstanding Contribution Award, obtained ISO 14064-1 certification, and renamed the company as DIAMOND QUANTUM BIOTECH Co., Ltd. (formerly DIAMOND NANO-BIOCHEM).
2024
Achieved fertilizer registration in China, the technology transfer team won the Taipei Biotechnology Award for excellence in cooperation, assisted in selling Taiwan coffee to Japan, and participated in Taichung City's Net Zero initiative.
